Something I hear more than you might expect when someone walks into Body Wave Chiropractic for the first time is: “I didn’t know you see kids.” Yes, we do! We are excited to share pediatric chiropractic as a resource for families in our community that are seeking drug-free ways to stay as healthy as possible.
What This Practice Is Really About
The heart of what I do here is nervous system regulation and optimization through NetworkSpinal care. That’s true for every person who walks through the door, whether they’re an adult dealing with stress, a pregnant mom, or a child navigating developmental challenges. The nervous system doesn’t care how old you are.
Working with kids has become one of my genuine areas of focus over the past few years. It’s also become personal.
“Some of the most meaningful work I do is with children and their families. When I see a child’s nervous system start to regulate and a parent finally able to trust that their child is getting better, that’s why I do this.” — Dr. Laura Konopacki
A Parent’s Perspective
My son has been working through some neurological and developmental challenges. As a family, we’ve been applying a neurodevelopmental approach that includes chiropractic, and he has a strong team supporting him at school. It’s been a true team effort.
At a recent school meeting, I sat down with his teachers and wasn’t sure what to expect. When your child is catching up, it’s easy to wonder if you’re doing enough. But the meeting went better than we hoped. Area after area, there had been real, measurable progress. The major concerns of just two years ago simply aren’t concerns anymore.
My husband and I came home and high-fived in the kitchen, and opened a bottle of wine on a weeknight! It felt right to mark what had been a long road of appointments, late evenings, and everyone giving their best.
What This Means for Families I Work With
I share this not to make it about me, but because I know what it feels like to do everything you can think of for someone you love and still wonder if it’s enough. This experience has shaped how I work with children and families in this office.
My work with children at Body Wave Chiropractic in Fitchburg is guided by both my clinical training and the neurodevelopmental lens I’ve been building over time. Gentle NetworkSpinal adjustments help regulate a child’s nervous system, which supports focus, behavior, sleep, immune function, and overall development. It’s also completely safe—no cracking, no twisting, just precise, light-touch care.
If someone comes to mind while you’re reading this, a child or an adult, and you’ve ever wondered whether chiropractic might help them, I’d love to talk. You’re welcome to reach out directly or book a free consultation to start the conversation.
