New Patients

Welcome

We want to help make this process as easy and wonderful as it can be. If you are coming to the office for the first time, your first visit will last approximately 45 minutes. We will review your history, perform an evaluation, and if necessary, refer you for x-rays. We will discuss with you how we can help you and explain every process.

HOW TO BEGIN

Please call (608) 444-9906 to make your new patient appointment.

Pre-Appointment Preparation:

We ask that you bring any recent x-rays, MRIs, or CAT Scans that are related to any spinal problems you may be suffering from.  Please arrive to the exam 15 minutes early to complete any necessary paperwork. The care in our office is different than many doctor’s offices. One of the ways we are different is that we almost always run on time. So your early arrival can ensure that other patients stay on time as well. Thank you for your consideration.

New Patient Appointment

Patient Forms:

Upon entering our office, we will help you to get settled. You’ll have a chance to complete your paperwork, providing us with your health history and information.

Consultation:

First, you will have a consultation with the doctor to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential treatment options. This initial visit is designed for the doctor to learn more about you, your condition, and expectations to determine how chiropractic care can meet your goals.

Examination:

After your consultation, the doctor will perform a complete chiropractic examination testing your spinal health. Some of the tests we utilize are:

  • Computerized functional nerve scans
  • Computerized postural assessments
  • Facilitative pattern palpation
  • Range of motion evaluation
  • Motion palpation
  • Flexion and lateral flexion adverse cord and connective tissue assessment
  • Functional brain-based neurological examination

X-Ray Studies:

We do not automatically x-ray every patient.  Occasionally (and depending on your specific condition) we may refer you for x-rays.

Follow Up Appointment

Once the information is collected and examinations are performed, you will be scheduled for a follow-up visit, usually within a week or as your schedule allows. During this follow-up visit, the doctor will give you a detailed report on your spine and answer questions like:

  • Can we help you?
  • How often do you need to come in?
  • What will my care cost?

Receiving Care In Our Office:

At the conclusion of this second visit, you can choose to experience your first spinal adjustment. People in our office are amazed at how gentle and effective adjustments feel. Some adjustments use the same amount of force that you would use to squeeze a tomato. Other adjustments require the use of a specific tool that provides exact vectors to correct nerve blockages. The chiropractic care in our office involves highly specialized training and is custom tailored to each person. We offer care to newborn babies all the way up to patients in their 90s.

Payment:

One of the things we have heard repeatedly in practice over the years is how valuable our affordable care becomes to the families that use our service.  We have many payment options available and accept some forms of insurance, health savings plans, flexible spending accounts and Visa/MasterCard/Discover/AMEX. Whether dealing with an immediate issue, wanting support in correcting an underlying spinal concern, or using our wellness service to maximize bodily performance, we have payment options that can work for you. We will be happy to assist you with any insurance or billing questions, and strive to make these details simple and easy for you to understand.
